To say that 2020 has been an uncertain year would be an understatement. With the spread of COVID-19 across the globe and the uncertain medical and financial stress it has put on people it has been a tough year for many. In light of the on-going situation we have put together this list to provide confidence to our future applicants and provide assurances on their applications should the situation change.

HOW IS THE SITUATION CURRENTLY IN CHINA?

Since the initial outbreak China has done extremely well to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus in China. Normal life in cities across China has resumed since April with many people not even needing to wear a mask anymore. China has achieved this through strict lockdown measures early on and requiring people that enter the country to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine. Please don't just take our word for it. Search for videos on YouTube to find how daily life is resuming in China since the outbreak.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I APPLY AND THERE IS ANOTHER OUTBREAK?

In the event that there is an outbreak either in China or the UK your application can be postponed until a date when the situation is more stable at no extra cost to yourself. This situation has already happened this year with some of our applicants that no longer have the money to travel out due to being furloughed in the UK.

ARE SCHOOLS ACCEPTING TEACHERS DURING THIS TIME?

Schools are accepting teachers across China just as normal. The only difference is that the school now needs to receive an invitation letter to allow you to come. This is something that we are currently working with our schools to get for each of our applicants to go out to China on-time.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS DUE TO COVID-19?

There may be some additional costs for the COVID-19 test that is necessary to be completed before departing for China. As for the flights and mandatory quarantining in China this is currently being covered by the schools. To ensure applicants can get out to China for the same cost as it would have been otherwise.
